Description

Semax is a synthetic regulatory peptide engineered by extending the adrenocorticotropic hormone fragment ACTH(4-10) with a Pro-Gly-Pro (PGP) tripeptide at the C-terminus (Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro). This C-terminal modification confers significant resistance to carboxypeptidases and endopeptidases while stripping hormonal corticotropic activity. It is supplied strictly for in vitro brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and TrkB receptor signaling kinetics, dopaminergic and serotonergic neurotransmitter modulation assays, gene expression profiling of neurotrophic factors, and laboratory neuroprotective signaling models in cell cultures. Supplied as a stable lyophilized powder suitable for analytical reconstitution.
